My interest in photography started way back in the early 70s after I was introduced to the work of none other than Ansel Adams. It woke a passion within me to tell stories in the form of shapes, light and shadows which eventually lead me to the
purchase of my first camera.

While pursuing a degree in Business Economics from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale I was furtunate enough to have been granted admission to the Department of Communications photography and broadcasting programs to pursue a minor in photography with emphasis in photojournalism. I studied under some of the most telented photographers in our region and soon developed my own style and approach to telling a story with pictures earning several awards for my photographs both here and abroad.

Today thanks to the mentoring of individuals such as Steve Storch (Storch Photographic, Champaign, IL), Scott Christiensen (Memory Lane Photography, Champaign, IL), and Neil King (KIng Shots, Inc., Indianapolis, IN) my photography has reached a level beyond that of the photojournalist to that of craftsman. I still approach my assigments with the same fervor and passion as I did in my younger days but with a broader point of view and the latest technologies that allow my subject's stories and feelings to come through strong and clear.

I believe every event is different and as such requires special attention when it comes to photography. Give me a call and let's talk about YOUR special needs and ALL the ways I can make your special event even more memorable. No assignment is too small or too large to be photographed and budget constraints are always taken into consideration.
